POSITION DESCRIPTION

As an Inside Sales Intern, you will gain quality experience and develop the skills necessary for a successful sales career at Axxis. Throughout this internship, you will be given exposure to all aspects of selling, including needs assessment, consultative selling, follow-ups, cross selling and relationship building. We will support you by providing guidance from experienced Sales professionals, training and sponsoring licensing exams. The Company's internship program is intended to provide students the opportunity to practice business skills learned in school while gaining "real-world" experience and provide you with the opportunity to contribute through challenging work.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in on-the-job training opportunities to learn about the insurance industry, enhance your sells and influencing skills, fine-tune your business acumen and prepare you for future positions.
  • Develop complete knowledge of insurance products, systems, business operations and sales strategy.
  • Counsel prospects and policyholders on coverages using sales and consultation techniques to highlight the value of the product tailored to the customer.
  • Work individually, or as part of a team, to assist with related projects to build experience and skills at a pace matched to your demonstrated proficiency
  • Identify companies who fit Axxis’ ideal client profile and people at those companies that fit defined personas.
  • Assist the sales team with the prospecting and sales process.
  • Work with customer relationship management (CRM) and salesforce automation (SFA) tools
  • Run reports to measure different aspects of the business.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • Position reports directly to the Sales Manager.

SKILL SET REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Research Skills
  • Ability to generate and analyze reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates general knowledge of techniques for analyzing large amounts of data
  • Ability to work independently and follow through with various duties and tasks
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office (primarily Excel (pivot tables, macros, v-lookup, etc.), PowerPoint (embedding, transitions, etc.)) a must.
  • Presentation skills to small groups of people.
  • Demonstrated persistence and patience in achieving success in a competitive environment
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal skills)– Preferred

EDUCATION + REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates should be currently enrolled college juniors or seniors.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Sales or other related business fields
  • Some experience initiating and leading successful conversations with new prospective clients/customers in any setting (school, work or personal life).
  • Data Management experience – Preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service background a plus
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred
