POSITION DESCRIPTION

Axxis is currently seeking highly motivated, energetic self-starter professionals to work as Business Development (BD) Interns. He/She supports the Region BD team in meeting overall business objectives, while leveraging and protecting the Axxis brand both internally and externally. Key responsibilities for Interns include: documenting information on processes, analyzing large amounts of data, and generating alternative solutions to existing job processes. He/She works closely with the Region BD team to complete various tasks. BD Interns exercise advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills as they work with large amounts of data. The Company's internship program is intended to provide students the opportunity to practice business skills learned in school while gaining "real-world" experience and provide you with the opportunity to contribute through challenging work.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Submits documented proposals with alternate lanes, estimated service improvements and estimated savings
  • Audits and analyzes current processes for extracting and updating monthly staffing reports and organizational charts, to reduce redundancies and administrative work, and increase productivity
  • Reviews current process for responding to RFP’s, analyzes work flow, establishes streamlined process and develops tools to eliminate unnecessary administrative work
  • Analyzes account alignments and makes recommendations for future assignment of accounts
  • Identify companies who fit Axxis’ ideal client profile and people at those companies that fit defined personas.
  • Assist the sales team with the prospecting and sales process.
  • Work with customer relationship management (CRM) and salesforce automation (SFA) tools
  • Run reports to measure different aspects of the business.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • Position reports directly to the Sales Manager.

SKILL SET REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Research Skills
  • Ability to generate and analyze reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates general knowledge of techniques for analyzing large amounts of data
  • Ability to work independently and follow through with various duties and tasks
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office (primarily Excel (pivot tables, macros, v-lookup, etc.), PowerPoint (embedding, transitions, etc.)) a must.
  • Presentation skills to small groups of people.
  • Demonstrated persistence and patience in achieving success in a competitive environment
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal skills)– Preferred

EDUCATION + REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates should be currently enrolled college juniors or seniors.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Sales or other related business fields
  • Some experience initiating and leading successful conversations with new prospective clients/customers in any setting (school, work or personal life).
  • Data Management experience – Preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service background a plus
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred
